Does Dr. visits always equal bad news?
My Ortho appointment was today he said everything I haven't heard already. I need to go see the Periodontics Dr. but I didn't want to! Just more money I have to shell out and less time in braces, ugh. He needs to hear from the Perio before doing any plans to straighten my teeth. Perio guy is probably going to say no braces till he fixes me so its win win for everyone but me, I hate waiting.
The Ortho gave me a treatment plan which includes a $5418.00 price tag. Free Upper Ceramic Braces which according to him is $400 extra normally. There is a nice interest free office plan that they have which Charleston didn't, they wanted the money up front or you had to go through CareCredit (credit card.) I'm looking at 24-36 months in braces though which Charleston was estimating me around 18 months.
I don't think I will be starting my ortho treatment here however with a move in the near future I just don't see myself driving 2hours from home to this office once a month. I just see the cycle repeating itself though I'll move to where ever it is that I'm going, not keep up with my dental work and be back to needing a root scaling and planing done.
Guess this will be a long talk with the husband when ever I see him again.
