Wisdom Teeth Surgery

Today was my surgery everything went fine I checked in and paid for the surgery. I had to pay the full price though, the reason why I was told was the doctor wasn't covered by my insurance yet and his acceptance was pending. Once he was accepted the Doctor's office will submit something in order for me to get my refund of what the insurance should have covered. So todays bill was $2378.90.

I got taken to the room a nose thing was placed on me and my heart rate was tracked. The doctor came in and told be about precautions. His main worry was my bottom right wisdom tooth was so far into my jaw I had a higher chance then normal of my jaw fracturing, he informed me tho if he was worried about that during surgery he would stop it. Another thing he pointed out was my top left wisdom tooth was really high in my nasal cavity. The bottom two wisdom teeth were also really close the the nerve and he warned me about temporary numbness that could last weeks, months, or even permanently. All of this almost made me change my mind but then I reminded myself that there are always risk with surgery, this being my first one though just made me second guess myself. Finally I signed a consent form and they put me under.

During the bottom right tooth I was awake for I got to hear the drilling and even felt the pulling in my jaw. Then I remember the doctor saying to increase my drip and I was out. I had a dream about chasing pandas from Mists of Pandaria as well as seeing and hearing a guy I play World of Warcraft with all the time. I woke up for the bottom left tooth actually crying and hearing the doctor ask if  I was in pain which I was, I believe he shot me with Novocaine and just continued on with the surgery. After things were done I sat there feeling exhausted and light headed, I was taken to another room where grandma was waiting for me and after a while just went home.

The only pain I'm having is from the swelling which I've been putting an ice pack on every 30 mins every 4-5 hours like directed and I've been taking Amoxicillin, Oxycontin, and prescription ibuprofen. I've also noticed a sore throat after the numbness has gone away think I shouldn't be talking so much but everyone has been calling to see how I'm doing. The amoxicillin I take every 12 hours and the other two every 6. I've been eating jello, pudding, and cream of chicken soup I also have yogurt and mashed potatoes. the post op paper I was given said no dairy I was assuming because of drug side effects but I don't see anything in the drugs that will effect me.

Move Update

Finally got a call from the movers today with a pack and ship date I'm so excited to being one more step closer out of here and 3 hours closer to Florida.
